Parker Clay's flagship Atlas Backpack was inspired by their travel between the US and Ethiopia, a journey of over 9,000 miles one-way. The Atlas is the ideal backpack that goes with you on every work venture or weekend adventure. Created for optimal functionality, with an exterior foam-padded laptop compartment and five interior pockets to keep your life organized. The sleek design matched with our premium full grain Ethiopian leather makes the Atlas a fundamental piece to your collection and built to last.
Founded in Ethiopia, Parker Clay empowers people in small, local communities. As a Certified B-Corp, they are using the power of commerce to solve social and environmental problems. They have a deep understanding that what and how people buy is an important statement about value, and although other businesses have used greenwashing and ethical-sounding marketing terms to make sales, Parker Clay practices what they preach.
Parker Clay employ at-risk women with fair wages for responsible work and partner with Ellita Women at Risk (EWAR) to eradicate prostitution in Ethiopia. They work with local farmers and businesses around Addis Ababa to source leather. They also intentionally develop durable and high-quality designs for the long-term, and use processes that make as little environmental impact as possible.
